Who we are
Science with Mirus is created by M. Berrak Temelkuran. If you have questions about this policy, please contact us at [email protected].
Information collected by the app
The Science with Mirus app does not collect, sell, or share personal information from children or adults.
The app uses first-party, privacy-preserving analytics to understand aggregate app usage, such as how long play sessions last and which app sections are opened or completed. These analytics are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not shared with third-party advertising or tracking services.
Analytics do not include a child's name, email address, precise location, photos, contacts, advertising identifiers, persistent device identifiers, chat messages, or user-generated content. Analytics use a temporary session identifier that is created when the app opens and is not designed to identify a child or parent.
The app does not include:
- user accounts or login
- advertising or ad tracking
- third-party analytics
- chat, messaging, or user-generated content
- location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library access
Local progress and parental settings
The app stores a small amount of progress and settings locally on the device, such as completed activities, current lesson progress, screen-time settings, and a parent PIN if a parent chooses to enable it. This progress and settings information stays on the device and is not sent to us or to third parties.
Parents can reset progress inside the app settings. Deleting the app also removes locally stored app data from the device.
Printable activity sheets
The app includes printable activity sheets. If a parent chooses to print, share, or save a PDF, iOS may show system share or print options. Those actions are handled by Apple iOS and any service the parent chooses. Science with Mirus does not receive or store information about those actions.
External links
Links to the Privacy Policy and Support pages are placed in the parent-facing settings area of the app and are protected by a parental gate.
Website privacy
This website is provided to share app information, support details, and this Privacy Policy. We do not use cookies, advertising, third-party analytics, persistent user identifiers, or browser fingerprinting on this website.
The website uses first-party, privacy-preserving analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as page views, broad link clicks, video plays, gallery opens, and App Store download link clicks. These website analytics use a temporary session identifier that lasts only for the current browser tab session and is not designed to identify a visitor across visits.
The website analytics we store do not include names, email addresses, IP addresses, precise location, advertising identifiers, persistent device identifiers, full referrer URLs, full user agent strings, or browser fingerprint data. The website host may process standard technical server logs, such as IP address and browser information, in order to deliver and protect the website and the first-party analytics endpoint.
If a parent contacts us by email or joins the next chapters waitlist by email, we receive the email address and message they choose to send. We use that information only to reply, provide support, or share requested updates about Science with Mirus.
Children's privacy
Science with Mirus is intended for children and families. Because the app does not collect personal information from children, we do not knowingly collect, use, disclose, or sell children's personal information. Parents can contact us at any time with privacy questions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and publish the revised policy on this page.
